As a kid growing up in Dallas, I had a passion for performing arts.
I remember when my mom and dad started playing in the local jazz club and I became fascinated by how different genres could combine to create something special.
I spent my formative years working in a local theater, and when I moved to Austin, I enrolled in a master’s program in arts and entertainment.
As an aspiring singer, I was fascinated by the different musical styles that would play in Austin, and my passion for the arts led me to work in theater, dance, music and music journalism.
Now, I am a proud member of the Dallas City Theatre Festival and am honored to work with some of the city’s best and brightest to bring you this retrospective of the world’s most celebrated performing arts institutions.
